I guess if I had to choose a place, Arizona is where I would love to be. In 1996, my son and I rented an RV and drove all around Arizona. We fell in love with it! We started in Phoenix and traveled north through Sedona. The "red rocks" are everywhere, the sunsets are breathtaking and the history is enthralling. I have actually thought about moving to, and working at, the Grand Canyon. In 2004 I did a work project for "Habitat for Humanity" in Hawaii. It was on the island of Oahu. |

We also went to the Grand Canyon ; took the 6 hour mule train trip down into the Canyon; spent the night in a Phantom Ranch cabin on the canyon floor; and came back up the next day - with sore butts! |

We traveled east and south through the reservations and the painted dessert and all the way down to Tombstone. Then back up through Tucson to Phoenix. Two wonderful weeks! Outside Phoenix, where my sister lives, Saguaro Cactus grow like midwestern pine trees. And there are grand hills and small mountains to climb, and caves to explore. |
